Turkish
protests
- Inside protest HQ
- Humour as weapon in protests
- Izmir fiercely anti-Erdogan
- Erdogan's support still strong
The protests began in Istanbul on 31 May |
Bulent
Arinc said Mr Erdogan would "listen to their thoughts".
The prime
minister has taken a tough line with the protesters, calling them
"looters" and warning that his patience was limited.
The
anti-government unrest was sparked by a police crackdown on a local protest
over an Istanbul park.
The
protests then widened, with demonstrators accusing Mr Erdogan's government of
becoming increasingly authoritarian and trying to impose conservative Islamic
values on a secular state.
The
demonstrations are now in their 11th day, with protesters controlling much of
Istanbul's Taksim Square.
"Our
prime minister has given an appointment to some of the groups leading these
protests," said Deputy Prime Minister Bulent Arinc.
"They
will be briefed on the facts and our prime minister will listen to their
thoughts."

in Turkey, ostensibly to protect a park, was instigated by the CIA’s “black
ops” to stoke the fire between the Sunnis and Shi’ites and lead to a blazing
war. Just as all other countries in your world, Turkey has policies that are
not satisfying every citizen, but it is economically sound and progressive—and
that’s what the Illuminati want to destroy. Although their global network has
come apart at the seams, a few peak individuals are stuck in their delusion
that they will take over the entire Mideast and move on to control the rest of
the world too. Most assuredly, that will not happen, and when the unrest in
Turkey subsides, and it shall soon, some reforms will emerge and further
strengthen the country’s progressive path. …”
